Course Info

Have you ever wanted to understand the Bible in its original language? Do you feel that a lot of meaning is simply lost in translation? Have you learned the Hebrew Alphabet, but feel that you need an experienced Hebrew instructor to accompany you on your reading journey? If so, this course is for you! As you follow your instructor through the Book of Genesis, reading and translating Biblical texts step by step, you will gradually begin to uncover the original meaning that lies beneath the translation.

As you progress, you will even venture to read a few lines directly from the Great Isaiah Scroll, part of the Dead Sea Scrolls discovered in 1947 at Qumran.  You will conclude each session by reading a short selection from the Siddur (Jewish Prayer Book). Reading the Bible only in translation is like listening to Bach only performed on harmonica. You get the melody, but you miss so much more. Make an investment in your life that you will never regret.

A little more time to hear the pronunciation of the words would be helpful. As a beginner I do struggle sometime to hear exactly how the words should sound.
