Dr. Robert J. V. Hiebert

Dr. Robert J. V. Hiebert (Professor of Old Testament, Trinity Western Seminary) is Director of the John William Wevers Institute for Septuagint Studies and President of the International Organization for Septuagint and Cognate Studies. He is an editor and translator of the New English Translation of the Septuagint (NETS) and has authored and edited numerous scholarly works on the Septuagint, especially Genesis and 4 Maccabees. Dr. Hiebert's work explains the social setting, linguistic features, and moral teachings of this ancient Jewish-Greek translation, as well as its astonishing importance for all readers of the Bible.
