Dr. Samuel Goldman is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at George Washington University, where he also serves as Executive Director of the Loeb Institute for Religious Freedom and head of the Politics and Values Program. Dr. Goldman's book God's Country: Christian Zionism in America covers four centuries of historical development, his research examines whether the New England Puritans thought they were replacing Israel and creating a New Zion, the birth of dispensationalist theology, the shift from liberal to conservative Christian support of Israel, and how all these patterns continue to influence American Christians and the unique American-Israeli relationship today.
